One Sentence Perfume Review: Estée, Estée Lauder (1968)

Estée is elegant but cuddly, and so charming you barely notice that she's an airhead.

Notes per the Estée Lauder website: Jasmine, Rose, Muguet, Coriander, Ylang-Ylang, Orris, Sandalwood, Moss

Thanks. I am a little in love with Estee at the moment. People at Basenotes talk about "monster sillage," and I'm thinking Really, what sillage? This juice is very restrained. Ha! I better watch out, or I'll be choking people to death with the stuff.

Sunt lacrimae rerum--I love your screen name, so tragic and soulful. Seems very appropriate to current events, too--but then, when is it not?

Yeah, honey.
You're probably skunking them out, right now.
But such LOVELY skunking....

Nice kitties, all.
[This from one who is deathly allergic, but cheats death by burying her face in them, anyway]

Sunt- my kids are MAJOR Classics geeks- so your moniker is deeply appreciated.

It's okay, Chaya--I am getting them with Jubilation today. If they can't love J 25, there's something wrong with them. I think it would be a privilege to choke on this stuff!

Which formulation of Estee do you like best? I know there's a regular one and a Super. I had a sniff last time I was at the mall, but I've never worn it.

That Jubilation 25 is the best thing to come along for the past maybe 10 years, IMO.

I like the "pure fragrance spray," which is supposedly the stronger concentration. The website describes it as between parfum and edp, for whatever that's worth. The "super cologne" is the lighter scent. Could they make it any more confusing?

I want to do a post on J 25, I just have to decide how many ways to say I love it.;-)
