God-crazed
Mr. Phydeaux has posted a couple of videos about the antics of the Christian fundamentalists. They're interesting on several levels. I'm not going to comment beyond that, except to say that if anybody's taking donations to ship the monotheist fanatics--all of them--to Mars, feel free to hit me up. Click here to see the clips.

I couldn't finish watching either tape. I know a lot of these people and they are exactly as the videos describe them. I can't think about what they believe, because there's simply no reasoning with it. It is all dreary and frightening. There is no greater threat to humanity than fundamentalist religion, never has been.
I grew up around fundamentalist Christians--my grandfather was a Nazarene preacher--and one of the things that's so sickening about these hyperaggressive missionary groups is that they've discarded everything beautiful in Christianity. They're motivated by greed and the desire for power, just as tyrants always have been. Same goes for the other varieties of fundamentalists. As for the rank and file believers, I'm with you--I just don't get it. I can't understand needing certainty that badly.
