You always write savant one sentence reviews and with much wit; although I will disagree with this one's take for once: do you really find it a behind your back rebel? I always thought it was a very potent soapy rendition, not particularly rebelious or smart-ass. I'd be interested to test it again with your opinion in mind, though.
Mary, I am in a rose and jasmine phase myself--I alternate hourly ;-) I had a gardenia phase last year that seemed to go on forever. BTW, I saw your comment over at the Shrine about a cool, aloof gardenia. I know this will sound daffy, but you might try Bourbon French's White Gardenia. I wouldn't exactly call it aloof, but it is one of the chilliest gardenias I know--sweet, mind you, but cool.
E, I think I am in a tiny minority on this particular SL--maybe a minority of one, in fact, because I've never seen a negative review of it. Here's what happens with me and Sa Majeste:
Initial spray: "Hmmn, nice."
2 minutes later: "Wow, what a lush, beautiful rose. This may be my HG."
20 minutes: "Christ, what is that awful smell? It's like a combination of sawdust and sour milk. Oh, wait, it's my perfume. Ugh, if I don't wash this off me I'll die!"
no, no, we might disagree on how it smells to us, but we agree that we don't particularly like it! I am not too enamoured of it either. It doesn't help that it is so inensely rosey with few other things around it. I like bastard roses, if at all ;-)

Ha! That review should have been in the Turin/Sanchez book. Perfect.
I was in a rose phase earlier this year. I'm moving out of that rapidly now...lately it's been violet.
I feel a gardenia phase coming on.

You see my problem ...
I love the smell, but I can't say that I wear it very often- it scares me, a little.
It doesn't play well with others....
I've neglected you-
Not intentionally, btw.
But I do love you-
And your perfume and music choices have tickled me, of late.
A zisn Pesach zu dir, my Pagan beauty.
It's good to see you, Chaya. I hope preparations for Passover haven't left you too exhausted, and all your boys are home to celebrate.

BTW, mailed you back :-)
