One Sentence Perfume Review: Sikkim, Lancome

It's like the first movement of the Kreutzer Sonata--overheated and overwrought, but impossible to resist.

Notes: ylang-ylang, jasmine, galbanum, oakmoss, leather, patchouli

Kreutzer Sonata, René François Xavier Prinet, 1901

Cathleen pointed out on FB that this painting was used in a Tabu ad. Funny how the image and the music seem to resonate with the sense of smell!

Yay! Seems like you like it, then. It is intense stuff, to be sure!

I do like it, and it is intense. A reviewer at Fragrantica called it "bland" compared to the original. The old juice must have been some serious stuff!
