A troll? but is it a nice-smelling troll?

Dunno. Thus far it shows no interest in perfume. It seems unhappy. Perhaps a nice drop of Chant d'Aromes or vintage Ma Griffe would cheer it up.

I say drench it in Coromondel and close all the windows.

Is that the same as putting nail polish on a tick?

I'd say that's a perfect analogy!

A troll would sort of go with the picture. I don't think the Brothers Grimm worked Joan of Arc into their stories, but it doesn't seem like a big leap.
