No peepers yet, but I've been hearing the birds in the morning -- and the one sure-fire sign of spring in our yard: a great blue heron landing near our goldfish pond (which is netted to protect the fish). This happens every year, without fail, during the first few days of March. Every year, for ten years now. It always amazes me.

That is one of my favorite sounds! Ah, I'll have to listen to the peepers on my computer this spring (no, it's not spring here yet).
Thanks for posting this, for I can hear them in my imagination, and can almost smell mud and wet grass.
