The day seems to have gotten away from me again

I'll try to get those vintage reviews up tomorrow. Tonight I need to torture myself and the dogs with some violin practice. Have a sweet Friday.

Oh, oh! Thank you for today's illustration.

Good luck with the violin practice...I shall be attending to my hollow stick this weekend myself...

I love that engraving, too. I gather it's taken from a painting, but I couldn't find any image online.

Practice, practice, practice. I only need another 10 or 15 years before I can tolerate the sound of my own playing.

that's a great and very involved engraving, thanks! That's one of the things that's lacking in modern art, it's rarely "involved".
Ahem, not to be pushy or anything, but how's that post on vintage perfumes coming? I'm dying with anticipation here:)
