Hi M -- From your previous writings, I assume you had a Southern childhood? I did, playing in the woods. The benevolent Nature poets have swooned over never seemed to really exist to those of us who have seen the food chain at work. I can't say I've ever seen a weasel, though. One of nature's most perfect predators. I wonder who their natural enemies are, excluding us.

Oh yeah, I grew up prowling around the woods not far from where I live now, though I think I learned about the food chain at home, when the dogs ripped our pet ducks to shreds.

Coyotes and bobcats eat weasels, though I'm guessing they are not an easy meal.
