And, I'm sorry, this was someone's bookplate?? So that if you ever borrowed a book from them you'd know just where to return it to? So that if they were ever, say, donated to the local public library, you'd know just by whom? What an interesting way to want to be remembered...
My weekend has been eventful, Chaya, so in that sense, I guess it has been refreshing.
There's an established cohort of collectors devoted to the art of erotic bookplates. Why, I cannot say--but I think it might have something to do with the solitary nature of many bibliophiles...
